Are you a committed to lifelong learning?
The Combined European Bureau for Social Development has been granted funding by for dissemination and transfer of lessons on Training and Learning for Community Development as part of the Lifelong Learning Programme, funded by the European Commission through the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture. The networking across networks is already steaming ahead. The first management meeting of the project took place in the Netherlands in November 2007. Dialogue with Civil Society
The Ideas Bank have been working with the task force both at a national, Nordic and European level. Kirsten Paaby has prepared a report on the Combined European Bureau Task Force on Dialogue with Civil Society structured around the following:
- People and Politics - a follow up of the dialogue workshop in Oslo November 2006 (see CEBSD news)
- Strengthening Participative Democracy through collaborative learning - a new EU-project. (see CEBSD news)
- Liveable communities - and our contribution with three modules.
- The follow up of the Nordic Campaign "The Balancing Act" (see CEBSD news)
European Dialogue
The Hungarian Association for Community Development has received funding from the European Commission to work on joint action between CEBSD and the Central and Eastern Citizen's Network under "Europe for citizens: Promotion of Active European Citizenship "Support for projects initiated by civil society organisations A report from Maté Varga on a meeting in November to plan a programme of work centred around May 2008 looks at:
- Practical Ideas for Future Co-operation
- Plans for a joint meeting in May 2008
- Networking built around sharing, future planning and dissemination.
